(c)

Teamwork and participatory processes
The Ministry cannot be successful working in isolation. The participation of stakeholders, especially the private sector and grassroots communities in agricultural policy formulation and implementation, will enhance ownership of programmes and projects. This, in turn, will lead to improved performance in the agricultural related production and marketing activities. To develop a participatory culture, the Ministry staff will enhance teamwork and mutual support among themselves. Team strength will therefore be the basis of the participatory and consultative culture, involving all stakeholders.
(d)
Gender equity and equal opportunity
Sustainable development of agriculture should recognize the key gender roles in production and marketing of agricultural products. It has been observed that women perform over 70 percent of farming activities.
