CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

The coffee development fund is not an end unto itself. Rather it is a means to an end. As such it recognizes & acknowledges its responsibility to society in its capacity as a corporate citizen. Consequently, it endeavors to engage in socially responsible activities while fulfilling its mandate. This is due to the realization that as a public institution, its success depends largely on how it interacts with coffee farmers & other stakeholders within the Coffee sub-sector in which it operates.

Subsequently during the period, the fund engaged in the following initiatives:

Participating in the public service week at the Kenyatta International Conference Center. This was to educate members of the public on the gains made by the Fund as well as offering advice to farmers on affordable credit solutions.

The fund also participated in the annual charity for hunger walk by making a donation. The goal being to assist members of the community afflicted by hunger. This is an annual event incorporating individuals, corporate entities & various initiatives aimed at raising funds for alleviating the suffering of our brothers & sisters afflicted by famine.
